Ryan: I’m Used to Debating People in Joe’s Generation in Congress

October 11, 2012

A outtake from a photo shoot of Rep. Paul Ryan for Time magazine, from 2011.

In a Toledo, OH, television interview yesterday, Rep. Paul Ryan showed little trepidation about facing Vice President Joe Biden tonight.

He later seemed to suggest that his youth gave him the upper hand.

“I’ve been in Congress 14 years. I’m a younger person. I’m next generation,” he [said.] “I’m in my 40s. Joe Biden is in his 60s. I’m used to debating people in Joe’s generation in Congress.”

Read the whole thing at Jackie Wellfonder.

As a news report stated early this morning, the age gap between Ryan and Biden is the largest-ever in US history between VP foes. This is gonna be fun, folks. Find more workout photos of Ryan here. Oh, and yes, there’s this lefty media-circus distraction to watch for at the debate site in Kentucky.
