You’re a Felon on the Lam? Maybe Skip That “Chewing Gum Survey”
Seattle cops cooked up a fake chewing gum “survey” to trick a homeless man into giving a DNA sample and then arrested him in connection with the murder of Maine woman 36 years ago.
Gary Sanford Raub was busted on Monday on suspicion of brutally stabbing Blanche M. Kimball in her Augusta home in 1976.
At first I was hesitant to link to the WazNMenToBe folks, since some of their commentary following the quoted material sounds very much like advice on “how to avoid capture” to any novice felons in their readership.
But after checking into their guiding philosophy (e.g. the site’s well-written and funny Disclaimer), you can understand why I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.
